What we want to do
In many ways our mission is a simple one: we want to leave the world a better place—one beverage container at a time.
Currently, almost all of the cans and bottles put in public place recycling bins end up as landfill. People are making the effort to recycle – but due to a lack of good waste management systems and low public awareness of the recycling process, contamination of the waste stream means that most recycling efforts are going to waste.
For us, leaving the world a better place means helping communities, businesses and educational institutions clean up their waste and finding ways to engage, educate and encourage public recycling.

How we're going to do it
At Envirobank we’ve created a waste management solution that overcomes the dual problems of contamination and public participation. One that is environmentally progressive and economically pragmatic.
Our Envirobank is a revolutionary closed loop recycling system. A container put into an Envirobank will eventually find its way back into a consumer’s hand as another container. By scanning and sorting recyclables, and rejecting unsuitable containers, our Envirobank keeps waste clean and ensures that every container accepted is a container recycled.
And we’ve figured out how to put the Envirobank’s communicative capabilities to good use – the embedded LCD screen works to engage, educate and encourage the recycling public. Our Envirobank is smart enough to be programmed to help local schools and local communities by rewarding them for their recycling efforts. We’ve created a rewards program which rewards people for doing the right thing.
Crucially, we’ve come up with a waste management solution that makes environmental and economic sense. Our Envirobank lowers the cost of waste disposal and gives businesses a rare opportunity to showcase their commitment to the future through partnership and promotion.
But our machine is only the beginning. Here at Envirobank our goal is to reach every corner of Australia: we won’t rest until everyone has access to an Envirobank: at the local petrol station, shopping centre, workplace or school. That is, until it’s easy for everyone to do their bit for a cleaner greener future.
