To celebrate National Recycling week Envirobank toured construction sites of Sydney Water's SewerFix Wet Weather Alliance (SWWA) to educate and engage the workers in a fun way around recycling and responsible disposal of waste. Over 3 days 763 drink containers were recycled, together they offset a 1271 km car journey.

The flag ship Sydney Aquarium welcomed its first Envirobank on Tuesday, 10 January 2012. An initiative brought to Sydney Aquarium by Program Manager, Claudette Rechtorik, from SACF (Sydney Aquarium Conservation Fund).

Every year millions of marine animals are killed or injured by rubbish. The Envirobank will help to increase recycling on site and educate visitors on the importance of responsible disposal of litter.

Envirobank will be at Carss Bush Park for Australia Day!

Kogarah City Council will be holding their annual Australia Day event at Carss Bush Park from 10:00am. The day will start with the citizenship ceremony followed by multicultural entertainment, dance troops and cover bands on the Rock Stage with the traditional fireworks display at 9:00pm.

This National Recycling Week, Envirobank will be engaging and educating workers at  construction sites, resulting in cleaner sites, increased recycling figures and a boost to team morale.

Envirobank have just rolled out another of our hugely popular Envirobank reverse vending machines at the 7-Eleven store in Murrumba Downs, QLD. The newly installed Envirobank machine compliments those launched in July at 7-Eleven stores in Kensington South, NSW and Brandon Park, VIC.

Today David Monti from Sydney University won the Envirobank Business Plan competition.

His submission stood out as the winner as he thought outside the box and came up with unique ideas - backed by practical solutions - that will increase the usage of the machine.

A new Wheelers Hill vending machine is turning the notion of convenience on its head. Environment Minister Karl Hampton today congratulated a Territory teenager who won a $200 Eco Pack after feeding empty containers into a reverse vending machine at last week’s annual Freds Pass Rural Show.

The Adelaide University Union and The University of Adelaide have partnered to install the first reverse vending machine on a campus in South Australia and the first in Adelaide's CBD. The Envirobank machine will form part of the University's approach to manage its recyclable waste.

With so many businesses in Fairfield City and one of the largest industrial estates in Australia, Council, supported by the Environmental Trust, developed the Sustain ‘n’ Save program to promote greater efficiency in business operations.

SYDNEY is about to get a new version of the cash-for-cans system, with hundreds of ‘reverse vending machines’ to be installed in the city this year. They look similar to vending machines but instead of dispensing drinks, they accept cans or bottles, crush them and issue the user a discount shopping docket.

A reverse vending machine for bottles and cans is making recycling a whole lot more enticing. Shoppers can soon get rid of their rubbish sustainably and then get rewarded for their efforts.
