Save Money and Help Save the Environment

With so many businesses in Fairfield City and one of the largest industrial estates in Australia, Council, supported by the Environmental Trust, developed the Sustain ‘n’ Save program to promote greater efficiency in business operations.

Participating businesses are given a free environmental assessment to establish where efficiencies can be made, money saved and a competitive advantage achieved through the setting of clear and achievable goals.

So far, more than 180 small to medium sized businesses in Fairfield City are taking advantage of the Sustain ‘n’ Save program.

For more information on how your business can get involved, contact Council on 9725 0386.

“The launch of our new Envirobank on the opening day of our ‘Green It We Mean It’ expo was a great success. The sight of a new and interesting looking machine certainly generated some interest, especially from young children. Mums were lifting their children up to the machine to insert a bottle!

It is our endeavour now to continue to train our customers into becoming accustomed to think of their empty cans and bottles not as rubbish — but as tokens!”
