Envirobank Business Plan competition winner!

Today David Monti from Sydney University won the Envirobank Business Plan competition.

His submission stood out as the winner as he thought outside the box and came up with unique ideas - backed by practical solutions - that will increase the usage of the machine.

Envirobank wants to support Sydney University in increasing their recycling rates and the machine, unlike standard bins, guarantees every drink container that is accepted into the Envirobank is recycled. Every time you recycle a PET bottle or container or an aluminium can at Envirobank, you also get rewarded, so go online and register for a Rewards Card and start earning valuable Crunch Credits. Find us online at www.envirobank.com.au and www.facebook.com/envirobank or on Twitter (@envirobank)

Envirobank machines are now located at Wentworth Food Court, Manning House Food Court, Economics Building, Merewether Building and Cumberland Campus.

“The launch of our new Envirobank on the opening day of our ‘Green It We Mean It’ expo was a great success. The sight of a new and interesting looking machine certainly generated some interest, especially from young children. Mums were lifting their children up to the machine to insert a bottle!

It is our endeavour now to continue to train our customers into becoming accustomed to think of their empty cans and bottles not as rubbish — but as tokens!”
