Over 10,000 people will flock to beautiful Cockatoo Island on Sydney Harbour on Saturday 17 September to watch the FMX Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour Finale, the number one freestyle motocross competition.  Televised live on TV, this is the first time the event has been hosted by Sydney and it is already sold out.

The team at Envirobank will be joining in the fun too and ferrying Envirobank machines onto the Island so that event visitors can recycle all their empty Red Bull cans and other drinks containers.  Red Bull’s primary goal is to ‘Keep Cockatoo Island’ clean and they are committed to reducing litter, improving the event’s recycling statistics and reducing the environmental impact and costs of waste transportation.

We’ll be in four locations around the Island, making it easy for the everyone to do the right thing and of course everyone is guaranteed a reward, courtesy of Red Bull and their partners.

To mark the event, we have produced a short animated Envirobank video to help visitors to the Red Bull event find us and staff will be on hand to show everyone how to recycle.  We’ll be at Expo 1, Expo 2, by the General Standing area and by the Friends of Red Bull platform.
