Recycling glass bottles.

Did you know that glass can be recycled continuously, forever? The trick is making sure the glass isn’t contaminated at any stage of the never-ending process (that includes broken glass), but that’s another story.

Many glass bottles are eligible for a refund, including beer, kombucha and soft drink bottles (wine and spirit bottles are only eligible in Queensland). It doesn’t matter whether that glass is clear, brown or green.

Once glass bottles are returned to Envirobank, we get them ready for collection by one of our local processing partners. They then melt it down and use it to manufacture new glass bottles and jars, and the whole process begins again.
